Emily Said.....

I have decided that I should just start a page for Emily's little sayings because there seems to be so many.
Emily is the little live wire in our house. She seems to have the biggest imagination and very wise beyond her years. As my Granny says "I think she has been here before".
She has us in fits of laughter some days and other days it can be the opposite!
We love your our little girl! We hope you keep us laughing for many more years to come!

Here are some things from other parts of the blog and there are some new ones at the bottom

8th June

Emily: "Mummy, why does it keep raining?"
Jo: "Not Sure"
Emily: "God is Naughty, he needs to stop the rain"

12th June
Emily: "I was nice and I shared my cough with Declan, and now he has given it back!"

14th June
I was hanging out the washing on the inside line and Emily was drawing
Emily: "Can you draw Mummy?"
Jo: "Yeah, I just need to finish this washing"
Emily: "Daddy's Naughty Mummy, he never does housework, you do lots - High Five!"

22nd July
Emily has been sick with the flu and went to the doctor yesterday as she could hardly move. Poor girl. Anyways I asked her if she felt any better? Emily replied "Not really, the Doctor didn't do very well!"

29th July
Jo: “I’m tired, I need to sit down, You guys are exhausting”
Emily: “and Daddy too?”

While I was having a sit down Emily was watching the big kids across the road jumping on the trampoline. This is how the conversation went
Emily: "Mummy, I wish I lived with other people"
Jo: "Why?"
Emily: "Because they are fun"
Jo: "I just took you to the park, am I not fun?"
Emily: "Oh yeah!"

Kids so quickly forget what you do for them - cheeky rascal!

11th August
The other day Emily was talking about bedtime....
Emily: "Daddy, can you put me to bed tonight?"
Matt: "Sure"
Jo: "Can't I put you to bed?" (pretending to cry)
Emily: "No"
Jo: "Oh" (pretending to cry again)
Emily: "Say Please Mummy"
Jo: "Please"
Emily: "Um.......NO"

I was preparing some vegetables in the kitchen and I sliced my finger a little bit with the knife, it hurt and I said "Ouch". Emily comes into the kitchen
Emily: "Oh have you hurt your finger Mummy?"
Jo: "Yeah I cut it a little with the knife"
Emily: "Oh, I don't care"
Then Emily walked off

Matt was having a conversation with Emily the other night....This is what Matt wrote down in the diary...

Today Emily told me that I am Moose and she is a Princess. She then asked why Moose's grow up? I told her that they need to get big and strong so that they can look after themselves. Just like she would grow up big and strong and look after herself.
I said that Mummy grew up and moved away from Nana and Tickly Grandad's house, and I grew up and moved away from Gran and Grandad and that she would move away from Mummy and me one day.
She looked really sad and asked "Can I marry you Daddy cos I love you"

Just now, Emily was on the floor with Declan
"I love your little ears Declan, You are growing up so fast, soon you are going to be a big boy

30th August
So Declan has been babbling for a while and can get quite loud. This is Emily’s response one morning
“Declan, can you stop that? You were making that noise in the bath last night and I DON’T like it”

5th September
Emily: “Declan you need your face cleaned (as she is wiping it clean), you don’t want germs”
Declan: Nodding

6th September
Jo: “Emily please don’t play with Daddy’s Tape measure”
I then exit the room to get Declan up from a nap, I return to find the tape measure all over the lounge floor and it won’t retract again
Jo: “Emily, I asked you not to play with the tape measure, it is broken now”
Emily: (bursts into tears) “I don’t want Daddy to be angry with me, I didn’t know the tape measure was alive”

It was also quite funny because when Daddy got home Emily went downstairs to see him and was still upset and says to him “I didn’t know it was alive Daddy” – He had no idea what she was talking about!
